QMate was started in 1996, shortly after the Palm (then called the Pilot) was released. It has enjoyed a loyal following since its release and continues to generate interest and positive reviews from its many fans. The primary idea behind QMate is that managing your money should be easy and enjoyable. Saving receipts and sitting in front of your computer entering them into Quicken is something many of us do or have done, but it is not how we want to spend our free time. QMate reduces the burden of tracking your expenses by allowing you to enter transactions at the point of sale and then easily sync them to your desktop machine.

QMate also offers many time-saving features that make the process of entering transactions easier. For example, memorized transactions allow you to recall a previously entered transaction with only a few Graffiti strokes. Scheduled transactions allow you to automatically enter transactions with a single command.
